Alumni
In 1903, the first graduating class of the Southwestern Louisiana Industrial Institute organized the Alumni Association. Those 18 graduates began a tradition of pride and support for their alma mater and maintaining connections with one another.
Those connections continue with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette graduating class of Fall 2014. Your experience with the Alumni Association begins upon graduation and stays with you throughout your life. Your Alumni Association membership is complimentary for one year following your graduation. Other alumni may also join the Alumni Association by contributing to the Alumni Loyalty Fund. The Loyalty Fund supports academic and student programs, as well as alumni programs. The Alumni Association also serves the University in many ways; by recruiting students and investing in endowed scholarships.
So whether you choose to stay local or relocate afar, there are alumni clubs and chapters in almost every state. What better way to network with fellow alums and meet fellow Ragin’ Cajuns than by attending a club or chapter event in your area. UL Lafayette alumni are ambassadors of our institution its values and its spirit.
Please stay informed about what’s happening on campus or in your area! Throughout the year, the Alumni Association disseminates information about news and events. Stay current with us, so we may keep you current about your alma mater! (You may do so by visiting our website at alumni.louisiana.edu)
